For three days the Hot Politics Lab measured physiological responses to political propaganda at the Netherlands’ largest music festival – Lowlands.
The lab was situated in the Lowlands Science area, a small village in which several research groups conducted research. In our experiment, we exposed people to brief videos that advertised a specific position on themes such as immigration, inequality, the environment and the political establishment. During the experiment we measured heartbeat, skin conductance and facial electromyography.
